We are continuing our efforts to bring our customers a completely renovated, state of the art mall experience at the Stratford Square Mall.
Since Feldman Mall Properties acquired the mall in January 2005, the new ownership has brought a new state of the art 16 screen all digital theater experience to the property and updated soft seating areas throughout the center.
We are currently replacing and upgrading all lower level ceilings and lighting, a major upgrade which should be completed by Summer 2008.
We are currently getting village approvals needed to replace our street pylon identification signage and add two additional signs that will all include the names of our anchors, theater and restaurants.
We are close to announcing two new restaurant deals and hope to have a total of four new, unique offerings in the near future. Once we have the restaurant plans in place, we will also be renovating our main mall entrances.
The mall was last renovated in 1999, which included new flooring, family restrooms, mother’s room, new and larger restrooms, an 8-restaurant food court and center court elevator.

YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 22, 2005
"When
we announced the acquisition of Stratford Square Mall in January
of this year, we made it very clear that in order to elevate
the mall to Class A status, we would need to add various elements
of excitement," stated Larry Feldman.
Stratford
Square Mall is located in the rapidly growing and affluent
DuPage County, a northwestern suburb of Chicago. In addition
to Century Theatres, the Mall boasts 6 anchor tenants including
Kohl's, Sears, Carson Pirie Scott, Marshall Fields, JCPenney
and Burlington Coat Factory.
Feldman
Mall's extensive repositioning efforts at Stratford Square
also include adding one or more junior anchor tenants, multiple
sit-down restaurants, outdoor cafes and streetscape retail,
new property signage and other general capital improvements
including upgraded finishes within the Center. As planned
changes are put into effect, the Company expects to see an
increase in shopper traffic and shop sales and soon thereafter,
improved leasing and rental rates.
